This free image converter changes photos and graphics into JPG, PNG or WebP in one step. Drop in HEIC photos from an iPhone, WebP or AVIF images saved from websites, old BMP or GIF files, SVG logos or TIFF scans, then pick the output format you need.
Most conversions run in your browser, so your files never leave your device. TIFF files and ICO icons are processed on our server and deleted right after. There is no signup and no watermark, and you can convert many files at once, then download everything as a ZIP.
Which output format should you pick?
| Output | Best for | Keep in mind |
|---|---|---|
| JPG | Photos, uploads, email, printing | No transparency, so clear areas turn white |
| PNG | Screenshots, logos, editing, transparency | Lossless, so photos become large files |
| WebP | Websites and online shops | Small files, but some older apps cannot open them |
If a site rejects your file, check which formats it accepts and convert to one of them. JPG and PNG are accepted almost everywhere. When in doubt, choose JPG for photos and PNG for graphics. Websites that care about speed get the most from WebP, see JPG to WebP.
Each converter on this page has its own guide with format tips, such as HEIC to JPG for iPhone photos and WebP to PNG for images saved from the web.
How this image converter handles your files
- In your browser: JPG, PNG, WebP, AVIF, GIF, BMP, SVG and JFIF are converted on your own device. HEIC and HEIF photos are decoded locally with the libheif decoder.
- On our server: TIFF files and ICO output use ImageMagick, and each file is deleted right after conversion.
- Quality: JPG and WebP output have a quality slider, set to 92% by default.
- Orientation and privacy: photos are saved upright, and metadata such as GPS location is not copied.
- Special cases: animated GIF and WebP files give their first frame, and SVG is rendered at up to 4096 px wide.
- Limits: each file can be up to 50 MB.
