What can you do with PDF to JPG?
Turning pages into pictures helps wherever a PDF is awkward:
- Social media and chat: post a flyer, menu or event poster that people see without opening a file.
- Presentations: drop a report page into PowerPoint, Keynote or Google Slides as a picture.
- Websites and listings: show the first page of a brochure as a preview image.
- Image only forms: some upload forms accept JPG but not PDF, even for documents.
An A4 page is tall, and many feeds show square or portrait images. If only part of the page matters, such as the top half of a flyer, trim it with Crop Image after converting. Your original PDF is not changed.
Which DPI should you pick?
DPI means dots per inch. More dots give sharper text and a bigger file.

Facing an upload limit? Start at 150 DPI and lower the quality slider to around 70%. If a page is still too big, Compress JPG can squeeze it further.
Good to know
Password protected PDFs cannot be opened. Open it with its password in your PDF reader and save an unprotected copy first.
Need only two pages out of forty? Pull them out with Split PDF before converting. For diagrams or pages of fine print, PDF to PNG avoids compression entirely.
JPG is lossy, so very small text can soften a little, especially at 72 DPI or low quality. Pages are drawn on a white background, the same as in a PDF reader.
