Acceptable use policy

Last updated: October 5, 2026

This Acceptable Use Policy is part of our Terms of Use. It explains what you may not do with FileKiwi (filekiwi.com). It applies to every tool, whether it runs in your browser or on our server.

1. Prohibited content

You must not use FileKiwi to process, create or distribute:

  • child sexual abuse material or any content that sexualises minors. We report such content to the competent authorities;
  • content that is illegal under the law that applies to you or under Polish or EU law, including terrorist content, illegal hate speech and content that incites violence;
  • content that infringes copyright, trademarks, trade secrets, privacy, image rights or other rights of anyone else;
  • intimate images of a person shared or altered without their consent, and fake or manipulated images or documents meant to harm, defame or impersonate a real person;
  • personal data of others that you have no right to process, including for stalking, harassment or doxxing;
  • malware, viruses, exploits or files crafted to attack or crash our systems.

2. Prohibited activities

  • Fraud and forgery. Creating, altering or falsifying official documents, identity documents, certificates, invoices, receipts, signatures, medical or legal records, or evidence with the intent to deceive anyone.
  • Bypassing protection. Removing or circumventing passwords, encryption, digital rights management, copy protection or usage restrictions of files you are not authorised to unlock.
  • Automated access. Using bots, scrapers, crawlers (other than search engines following our robots.txt), scripts or any automation to use our tools, calling our server endpoints (/api/) directly or from other websites or apps, or reselling access to them.
  • Overloading. Sending excessive numbers of requests, very large batches designed to exhaust resources, or anything else that degrades the service for others or circumvents our limits.
  • Attacks. Probing, scanning or testing the vulnerability of our systems, breaching security or authentication measures, or interfering with other users, except for good faith research that follows our Security Policy.
  • Misrepresentation. Framing or mirroring FileKiwi, copying our pages or tools, presenting the service as your own, or pretending to be affiliated with or endorsed by FileKiwi or BDK Media.
  • Sanctions. Using the service in violation of applicable sanctions or export control laws.
  • Unlawful purposes. Using FileKiwi for any purpose that is illegal or that helps someone else break the law.

3. How we enforce this policy

Most tools run in your browser and we do not see your files. We do not scan or moderate your files. When we learn about a breach, for example from a notice, from abuse of our servers or from authorities, we may, depending on how serious it is:

  • refuse or stop processing requests;
  • block IP addresses, networks or user agents, temporarily or permanently;
  • preserve technical data needed as evidence;
  • report the matter to law enforcement or other competent authorities, and cooperate with them as required by law;
  • take legal action and claim compensation for damage caused.

Where the Digital Services Act requires it, we will inform the person affected of a restriction and the reasons for it, unless the law forbids this or the information is unavailable to us.

4. Reporting abuse

If you believe someone is misusing FileKiwi, or you want to report illegal content related to our service, write to contact@filekiwi.com with the subject "Abuse report". For rights infringement, see our Copyright and Content Notices policy.
